The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) engaged REC to develop a discussion paper for product stewardship options for EPS packaging in Australia.The discussion paper explores potential product stewardship options that will stimulateindustry and government discourse and action to increase recycling of EPS packaging placed on themarket in Australia.

Client: Metropolitan Waste Management Group (MWMG) Role: review of landfill schedule. REC is assisting in the development of the landfill schedule content, providing policy analysis and advice, reviewing waste projections and technical content.
Client: Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Community Role: project manager lead author (REC subcontractor to Blue Environment Pty Ltd). The report will be a key reference for the National Waste Report 2013 that summaries national rates of waste generation, recycling, energy recover, and disposal.
Client: Sustainability Victoria (SV) Role: project manager and co-author. This report reviewed and summarised the environmental and planning regulatory framework for the processing and application to land of organic wastes in Victoria.
